We are a group of carefree students who have gathered together,
regardless of bawahs, normals, atas, kulintang and percussions
to create music like none other with our conductor, Mr Dzul. :D

Hi all, it's been a while since I last wrote anything here...I do hope that the exams had so far been good for all of you.
Just to update all of you, I know that I've promised that the swansong performance for JC 2 will be on 21 July at the Suntec City. BUT, I just received an invitation for us to perform at Inter-Racial Inter-Religious Nites which will be held on 28 & 29 July 2007 at Singapore Expo. The GOH for the day is our very own Singapore President, Mr SR Nathan. Yup, the president himself and the crowd would be around few thousand people. Last year, the Malay Dance had the honour of performing for in front of the President and this year, the organizer requested for us.
I know that I've promised you that your swansong will be on the 21st July but, Mr Dzul , Mr Tan and myself thought that it would be an honour for us to perform in such a high profile event and not to mention in an event that is graced by the President thus we thought we would like to extend this honour to the JC 2.
You guys deserve this honour and it is your playing that had all this organization interested and believe in our ability to not only perform but entertained the audience too.So, to the JC 2s, what is a week more of training as compared to a once in a lifetime chance to perform in the presence of the President and thousands of audience.
So guys, lets show the President that we can so rock the house down with the music that we play and let the big Singapore Expo hall and Mr President pay tribute to a final performance for the JC 2s, a deserving swansong indeed.
Hi people, work hard for your exams but you must remember to take care of your health. Health is more important than anything.
During the June holidays, we had received a slew of invitations from other institutions. If you happen to be reading this blog while taking a break from your mugging, I shall just briefly update you on the invitations we had received so far.
So far two performances are confirmed, namely at Suntec City on 21st July and Esplanade on 15th August.
Below is the list of invitations. These performances are NOT confirmed yet. 3-5th August: Combined performace with Harmonica at Genting, Malaysia plus tour of Malacca (I heard). 8th August: Perform at Unity Primary's National Day Celebration (means can siam college's N-day Celebration!) 21st September: Perform Zapin "dance" version with Malay Dance at SGH. Date should be changed because GP Promo paper also on this day. 15th December: Perform at IIUM's Angklung (or is it Music?) festival. Also in Malaysia.
Of course there is also a performance for College Open Day somewhere in August. However date is still unknown. That should be all.
Hello! how u guys doing? bz mugging?...wish u all all the very best for CTs. I'm sure everyone will do well. Stay focus...dont get distracted, especially with the GSS ..haha. Having problem with absorbing all the notes? (alamak, i sounded like advertisement on tv)...here a tip that u can use to maximise ur brain power and how u can retain information in the brain. A regimen of raw diet comprises of one or more of the following will help the brain to stay awake; salad, avocados, bananas, pineapple, nuts, seeds, carrot juice and herbal tea.
Also, write all important notes in point form and read them immediately b4 u go to sleep..the brain will process this information during REM and since it is the last information that the brain receive b4 u sleep, it will be shelved as high priority for immediate retrieval. Do this every night and u will remember wat u hv studied with no problem.
Ok press on... and once again all the best! I'll see u guys soon. Take care.
