Hello everyone, especially the current excos, thank you for yesterday's chalet. Thank you for the scrap book and to peck yan and the gang, thank you for the pen too!!!

First and foremost, I apologize for benig super duper late. Never plan to do so or to be a diva and arrived late but like I mention, the traffic was horrendous!!!!It was jammed ffrom Bukt Batok to Bedok!! Anyway, glad to see so many people in the chalet and sorry that I could not interact with many of you as many had left soon after I arrived.

In any case, happy birthday Shuxian...and the "sabo" was super mild...I've already prepared a bowl of cocktail to pour over you but you already taken your shower so....next time lah.

To Carline, please dont be so forgetful ok..its no joke having to travel to pasir ris again from bukit batok just to send the keys!!!

To Peck Yan and the gang that stayed behind, I wish I could stay up with you in the chalet but I truly cant. I have a lot of packing up to do as I will be going on my holiday tomorrow. I'm sure it's gonna be awesome staying in the calet with you gals..he last time I was with 7 ladies on an overnight thingy was with my SAJC classmates...1 man to 7 ladies...heavenly but noisy!!!

In the meantime, thank you all for the words of encouragement in the scrapbook. Totally touch my heart. I love you guys and I'm sure our path will cross again and to forget Angklung is like a big NO NO to me and I dont think I'm able to do that.

Will get back to this blog again ok...i the meantime...have a good and well deserved break..each and everyone of you!!!

Alright, didnt expect the weather to be that bad today .. the original plan was to play some outdoor bonding games like captain's ball etc.. but too bad it rained. haix. but nevertheless, i think we all had fun :)

In the afternoon... j1 gals were busy making the scrapbook thingy and playing some card games inside one of the rooms, the grand seniors entertaining themselves in another room, seniors playing cards outside, and some of us plus a grand senior (zhengliang) plus a great grand senior (fabian) playing cards and uno stacko outside.. mark nabil huaice ivan were somewhere at downtown east loitering (according to my spies haha), probably got stuck in the rain. then wenqi yulin jessica got stuck in the rain for so long at pasir ris area tt they went home instead haha.

By dinner time.. mr dzul and mr tan came.. and more ppl arrived (luckily) and we were all starving to wait for the arrival of the VIP (who else? of cos mr fuad la.. ). haha dinner was not bad, plenty of leftovers, but luckily we had containers to takeaway the food home =)

"Highlight" of the night: super random "prom (chalet) king and queen search!!!!!" (Well, this was actually a forfeit for ppl who lost the uno stacko and cards game, which explains why poor hilda, carline and i became the hosts and cameralady -.- ) we thought of this game cos we wanted to find a good opportunity to present the VIP with the cake and gift la haha. so.. chalet queen was shu xian, and quoting from shu xian, she thinks that her eyes are the most beautiful part of her. haha. Zsk Zsk~~ nxt time she can go charm guys with her electric eyes =Pp (btw, it's shu xian's bdae today, that explains why she's the chalet queen hahahahahaha. "if not must be me"- i bet carline would say this haha). prom king.. aiya, must be mr fuad la, haha. no competition at all lo, confirm he win one (i mean stomach size haha.. no la. jux joking k =Pp) yepps. mr fuad won!! our super great teacher in charge (hey, i seriously dont mean the size lol). hmm. kinda sad tt he's leaving.. but no worries, we'll still pester him with angklung stuff if we need help haha. (we'll make sure he helps to sell 50 tickets for our concert next year).

So.. in overall.. a bit sad that only few ppl expressed interest in staying overnight , i wont blame anyone, cos there's really no point in forcing ppl to stay overnight, but i just hope that nxt time, more ppl will show more initiative and enthusiasm k =D Ooo.. and nxt time, we'll really have more junior-senior interaction. super sorry that i forgot to interact with the grand seniors (constance they all) but i'm sure we'll have lots more opportunities yeah?? :)

right. hmm i'm naggy. haha. after chalet.. for the j1s.. while u are trying to clear all ur holiday hw, pls pls keep in mind that we're having a concert nxt year, probably in april. So, i will need u all to start thinking about ideas for our concert (like wat king of songs u all wanna play, wat theme, any special items like a solo dance (perhaps we can invite our VIP to do a belly dance haha) or skit etc). hey, and i seriously dont think it's an extra burden to ur hw list, cos a concert is supposed to be fun!!!!! our first OWN angklung concert @ esplanade is indeed very important, and i think u all mux be feeling honoured to be directly involved in it. i believe many of you were not in performing arts group in ur secondary school,so this could actually be ur first and last concert. i'm sure all of you would want to make it memorable.

Making it memorable isnt based only on the final outcome and success. However cliche this sounds, it's really the process that matters most. Even if we manage to put up a series of good performances, but if u are always complaining about the long and tiring practices/rehearsals, wat you will remember after u leave njc and angklung wouldnt be about how well we performed, but actually about how tiring the practices were. Taking Syf as the best example, although we didnt get the outcome tt we wanted, but how many ppl actually keep brooding over~ and over~ again over~ the fact that we didnt get gold with honours? if i ask u to recall about syf now, wat is the first thing tt comes to ur mind? well, for me, i would immediately think of how our efforts [process] paid off on the syf day, cos we really played wonderfully and earned a loud applause and recognition from the audience [outcome]. Thus, it's always the process that makes the outcome (whether or not it's wat we expected) valuable.

So.. i'll hope to see everyone come up with fun ideas for our concert yeah? Rmb, it's OUR concert, so we certainly need ideas from every member of angklung ensemble!! seniors and grand seniors and greatgrand seniors etc can give us ur ideas too!!! for the j1s, perhaps we'll share the ideas after school reopens. if not, maybe you all can send me ur proposals via email. yepps. well, but i'll confirm wif u guys again bout wat to do. meanwhile, jux keep the ideas in ur head and dont forget!! :)

ohh, and if anyone is free enough, can start thinking of new angklung teeshirt design. haha. a bit late now, but.. a cca tee is kindof necessary i guess... yepps. can wear during cca outings wat, can wear to five years or ten years later de angklung chalet also haha. it's supposed to identify us as the 07/08 batch :)

oh my. okie i didnt realise i've typed so much. alrite, shall not make everyone's eyes suffer tt much. =Pp off i go, and see you guys nxt year!!!

P.S. there'll be no practices this month. first practice will be during first week of sch. yepps =))

People going for the chalet, regardless of juniors-going-to-be-seniors, seniors, grand-seniors, great-grand-seniors...please remember that chalet is THREE days away on 5 DECEMBER 2007. Please meet at ONE O'CLOCK at the PASIR RIS CONTROL STATION. We'll set off together! Thank you very much.
