Welcome to NJC Angklung Ensemble's blog! :)

We are a group of carefree students who have gathered together,
regardless of bawahs, normals, atas, kulintang and percussions
to create music like none other with our conductor, Mr Dzul. :D

you know what....never thought that I would stay in Angklung for 6 years....the first time I got Angklung as my CCA, I was like...what the hack!!!never into music except listening to them.But, as I took over the group, it just grew in me...yup, I learn to love the music, the people and I see potential in building this group of 12 members then.I was offered another CCA on my 2nd yr in NJC but turn it down as I told myself that I have to do something about the group ie to make sure that we are a well respected CCA. I told myself that I want the new members to feel how I felt ie sense of belonging and friendship as I joined the group. Then, though there were only 12 members, they were "tight". Cheerful during practices and enjoy each other company.

Now, as I look back through the years, nothing but happiness stays in my heart. From a discarded group ie not invited for any performance except College Day, you guys are well sought after by the college admin for any performance. They know they can always depend on Angklung and you guys to perform when they need a quality performance urgently.I'm proud to be a part of the groyp and I do hope that you guys are too.

To Mr Zul, thank you for the commitment and passion that you've instill into the group. Never doubted your talent since the first time I saw you perform at WTC with ERA Tari in 1995. To the batch of 2004/2005, you guys are fantastic. It is the efficiency of the excos and the commitment of the members that make us as we are today. To the current exco, many great ones had gone through this path and you are going to embark on the same hardous journey too. I have great confidence in your ability and I suppose mr Zul too.

Pardon me for taking so much space in this blog, but been waiting to pen something down till i receive the invite from Constance. Thanks for the invite constance.

So, to the current members, always remember that everyone matters in Angklung and it is only with solidarity that we can achieve perfection.
( I'm sure you realise this after making mr Zul false start 4 times yesterday!!!)
